Halifax Grain Elevator Limited is located in the Port of Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are the last stepping stone to the east for ships transporting grain via the Great Lakes and the St. Lawrence Seaway. HGEL is the closest Canadian port of export to Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Various grains and other bulk materials can be brought down from as far as Duluth and Thunder Bay by vessel. Rail lines run from coast to coast and HGEL handles rail cars from all over North America. Trucks handle most local services, with our 24hr automatted loading equipment for outgoing loads. We have a container tipper for loading 20' ISO containers without removing the container from the trailer, allowing for faster service. Bagged products can also be loaded into the container with full bagging services on site. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for inquiries.
